WEST HOLLYWOOD— Chef Michael Cimarusti's Connie & Ted's is taking shape, just like those early renderings. As expected, the seafood joint did not make that initial March 6 wrap date. Word on the street is that it should open in May. [EaterWire]

CULVER CITY— Ice cream and coffee is coming to 10818 Jefferson Blvd. Sigange is up for Yo Ku Mon a new dessert cafe serving froyo, cookies, shaved ice, and ice cream sandwiches. Meanwhile, next door Yo Ku Mon, management will open Island Monarch Coffee. [Grub Street]

ATWATER VILLAGE— As of about a week ago, Bon Vivant Market & Cafe is serving a bunch of freebies during happy hour, which runs Monday to Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. In addition to drink specials, the eatery is giving out complimentary snacks like olives, house-made potato chips, cheese, fruit/veggies, deviled eggs, and more.
