Although they are unable to disclose the exact location yet, chef Walter el Nagar and partner Mario Vollera have secured a permanent home for their Barbershop pop-up, as was the plan from day one. After bumping around town from Mid-City to Mar Vista, the contemporary Italian pop-up turned brick and mortar will settle down in Mar Vista. Perhaps taking over La Petite Crêperie? That's just speculation. But a beer and wine license is currently pending for the new eatery. El Nagar will serve Italian kaiseki to diners at a 12-seat bar in the vein of Blanca at Roberta's in Brooklyn. Meanwhile, Vollera is going to fire pizza in a back area. More to come.
