April 20 Marks the 11th Annual Grilled Cheese Invitational

It's time to start thinking about cheese in the melted form. Smushed between bread. Los Angeles' annual celebration of all things grilled cheese, The Grilled Cheese Invitational, returns on April 20 to its original turf at Los Angeles Center Studios from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets cost $12 now or $15 day of, or you can sign up to be a "judge" for $25. A max of 200 competitors (down from the 300 authorized last year) will prepare grilled cheese sandwiches in the following categories: Love, American Style; Missionary Position; Kama Sutra; and Honey Pot. However, competitors may only enter one sandwich per category with a max of three submissions total. So, no, you can't enter in all four categories, but read all the rules here.

Will there be beer? Yes. Other food vendors? Yes. Is 'Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine' set to perform? You betcha.
