Village Tavern, a Mexican barbecue gastropub dedicated to local and craft beer on tap and in bottle, is nearly ready for its reveal. After months of construction, which involved flipping a retail shop to restaurant, owner Maurice Rodriguez plans to part doors mid-May. The colorful eatery, with imagery by local artists, accommodates 77 diners, divided between indoor and patio tables. Fusion Mexican-American eats, designed by a chef from the Stop, Guac N' Roll truck, involve a burger, tortas, tacos, but also wings and avocado fries.
