A new American surf and turf place is headed to the former El Torito Grill space on Wilshire, thusly Javier's is not moving in. Ocean Prime, a chain with nine locations across the country, joins the Los Angeles dining game, but not for another year, with a debut planned in the spring of 2014. This is another seafood-steak hub, which will be in good company with the likes of nearby Mastro's, The Grill On The Alley, and the more recent Fleming's.
The Beverly Hills eatery spans 11,400 square feet with an outdoor patio and seats for 350 guests, divided between the dining room, private rooms, a lounge and a piano bar. So, when Mastro's is too busy, this could be another option. Ocean Prime will offer weekday lunch and nightly dinner. Manhattan-based design firm ICRAVE (Sound Hollywood) is set to dress the interior. [EaterWire]
