Storefront Closes in Los Feliz; Taverna Arros Hiring

LOS FELIZ—Late breaking: Chefs Chris Phelps and Zak Walters' Storefront is calling it quits after less than a year of operation. Phelps says, "It's really too bad that our vision could not be executed within the confines of the current business arrangement ... Storefront was a real passion for us, and we never got to see it come to fruition." Meanwhile, the chefs plan to serve some Storefront dishes at Salt's Cure. [EaterWire]

SANTA MONICA—Though it has been in construction quietly for months, it looks like Michael Cardenas' Taberna Arros y Vi is finally looking to open. Grub Street reports on the imminent debut with a Craigslist ad looking to staff up the restaurant. [GS]
