At last a cold-pressed juicery is hitting the popular retail strip of Atwater Village. The Juice is taking over a former dental office, the long space next to Kaldi Coffee and across the street from Proof Bakery, with hopes of making some fresh, organic, raw, vegan (all the relevant labels) cold-pressed juice. Helmed by Elizabeth Halpern and Melissa Cronkhite, the first time entrepreneurs are going to be changing up the juice game with their own recipes, such as pineapple, parsley and mint, or red cabbage, apple and lemon.

The juices will be pressed in house, but they will be premade for a quick grab-and-go experience. In addition, there will be house-made smoothies like banana-almond and coconut date, as well as a number of cleanse and detox programs (because sometimes they're necessary). After a lengthy build out, they're putting together the finishing touches and hoping to open some time later this month. They're hoping to eventually do a delivery program for the neighborhood and surrounding areas. [Eaterwire]
