Looks like the old Cheesecake Factory in Brentwood won't be vacant for long. Word just in that the folks behind Coral Tree Cafe, the purveyor of paninis and ice teas, will be opening a steakhouse at the space adjacent to the Brentwood cafe. Once a haven for college students looking for an inexpensive night out or locals wanting a family-friendly spot, the expansive restaurant will now be doling out high-priced steaks and more, something the neighborhood hasn't really had.

Right now the place is being completely gutted out from the former chain restaurant's glory, which means that the place probably won't be ready for its early October debut. More developing. [Eaterwire]
