The Vice overhaul is complete, and here now new incarnation The Cosmo, staying somewhat true to those early renderings, with a take on ribbed vaulting, pointed arched entryways, but no black chandeliers. Named after its location on Hollywood at Cosmo, The Cosmo is a project by "Professional Fun Broker" Suk Sung of Boulevard Nightlife Group (Supperclub, Lure, Roxbury), and Sung describes the Spacecraft-designed 2,907 square foot space as an "Ultra Boutique Nightclub."
It's smaller than many of the other kids on the block and takes on an overall modern gothic aesthetic complete with fancy sound and lighting systems, the usual tufted booths and dance floor, plus a mezzanine with a DJ booths and VIP suite. The Cosmo kicks off its first night tomorrow, and in the future will also induce intoxication on Friday and Saturday nights.
