Up above, an early look at that previously mentioned new 350-square foot Coolhaus ice creamery in Old Town Pasadena. But let's talk about what's going on with this space. It previously housed a Foot Locker, and building management is looking to flip the shoe shop into a shared retail area with several operators, one of which is obviously Coolhaus. They're specifically looking for non-kitchen concepts like a juicer (hey, Pressed Juicery), cupcake bakery, cured meats seller, that kind of thing. Plus retailers like TOMS, too. A common walkway will unite the vendors and there's a total of 3,200 square feet on the ground floor plus a basement with 2,200 square feet.
This market is located right next to Intelligentsia and Umami Burger, and it will be totally open from the back alley to the front. Think exposed brick and metal beams, with elevator access to the basement. Right now the venue is unnamed but reps are asking Eater readers for their suggestions. Hit the comment. And if you want to sell here, drop this girl a note.
