Rameniacs rejoice! The ideal location that Ramen Jinya left behind on Sawtelle won't go unoccupied for much longer. Popular ramen haunt Daikokuya, which had previously gone east from its original Little Tokyo nook, is moving westward to Little Osaka. Looks like Tsujita/Tsujita ANNEX and Tatsu Ramen will have fresh competition on what's quickly becoming "Ramen Row."

Per management, Daikokuya will quickly replace Jinya, with an opening toward the end of June. Expect a similar menu of tonkotsu ramen, fried rice and other Japanese small plates. And, of course, extremely long waits that are typical for the Little Tokyo location.
