Downtown Long Beach's historic Cooper Arms building is set to debut Pier 76 Fish Grill from chef Chris Krajacic, who previously led the way at Seal Beach's seafood landmark, Walt's Wharf. With a 40-seat dining room and about double that seating on the palm tree shaded patio in the courtyard along Ocean Boulevard, Pier 76 will serve a mostly classic American seafood menu with market fish brought in daily. Expect simple preps to showcase the fish, plus domestic wine and beer. Pier 76 received a clean bill from its health inspection yesterday, and management hopes to open for lunch and dinner in time for summer. [EaterWire] — Matthew Bragman
