Following that early test run at Lazy Ox Canteen, restaurateur Michael Cardenas is ready to share his long awaited neighborhood tapas and paella joint, Taberna Arros y Vi. Opening tomorrow night for dinner from 5 to 11 p.m., with lunch service to follow in July, chef Verite Mazzola of Palomino and Ford's Filling Station (who replaced original chef Perfecto Rocher) will execute an eclectic Spanish menu using seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers markets. Quinoa paella, anyone? Check Taberna's website later today or early tomorrow for her final menu. And don't forget, chef Joe Miller operates his own Spanish place, Bar Pintxo, just around the corner.
