The Fat Dog Gastropub Next Hits North Hollywood

New, 11 comments

The Fat Dog gastropub, which got its footing in Montrose and then bounced over to Fairfax two years ago, is next headed to North Hollywood, replacing the decade-old Avery Schreiber Theater. LAist relays news that the theatre will shutter at the end of June. Not other details at this time.

The Fat Dog is an unfussy neighborhood joint from owner Richard Mandeville that stocks a healthy enough list of craft beer on draft and by bottle (plus wine and cocktails, too), and gets especially bopping during happy hour. There's also a selection of better bar food like a Lindy & Grundy sausage board and a short rib French dip sandwich. Likely a well-received addition to the nabe.
