Tom's Burgers, a vintage relic of a burger shack that dates back to 1973, shuttered this past weekend. A note taped to a window states that new ownership is coming in (here's the LoopNet listing): "To all our customers and patrons, since 1973 to 2013, thank you for your business. However, as of 6/22/13 Tom's Burgers will be closing. A new tenant will be coming soon. Thanks Tom's Burgers :)" A source says that a chain may replace Tom's. [EaterWire]
