It's been a long time in the making for Mari Vanna, but finally, a year and a half later, the Russian tchotchke-filled indoor/outdoor restaurant opens its doors to the public today. Co-owner Tatiana Brunetti believes that Russian cuisine is misunderstood in this country and she hopes to change diners' opinions of the food via Mari Vanna's traditional and modern Russian dishes. Similar to its other domestic and international locations, Mari Vanna LA will serve a menu like this using local produce, with a brunch of added dishes for those gluten-free and vegan. On the bar side of things, expect 70 flavors of vodka infused with ingredients like dill, horseradish, and cranberry. And as for Key Mondays, Brunetti is beginning to distributing restaurant keys to neighbors.
