Here's a reason to visit 111 N. La Cienega: Scratch Bar. Angelenos have likely bypassed prior incarnations Restaurant 111 and Darioush, but chef Phillip Lee (D'Cache) is breathing new life into the space via lemon and Parmesan kale chips and hamachi with sweetbreads. In the kitchen one will also find chef de cuisine Joel David Miller of Cleo and Ryan Duval of Animal. Pour Vous' Dave Fernie is responsible for liquid courage, which comes in the form of beer, wine, and wine-based cocktails.
Still to be completed is some wall art by the tattoo artist behind Lee's body ink. And in the coming weeks Lee is also planning to add a five seat chef's tasting bar where he will serve diners a 12-course taster. As of today, Scratch Bar is officially open for lunch Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, 6 to 11 p.m.
