Weiland Brewery Moves, Mauro's Café Does Dinner, More!

LITTLE TOKYO— The Spice Table and Señor Fish aren't the only businesses being displaced by the impending metro line. Add Weiland Brewery to the list, calling it quits on June 30 after 14 years at 1st and S. Central. The silver lining here is that management has secured another location in Long Beach to move the restaurant, although it may relaunch under a different name. [LADTN]

MID-CITY—Tonight, for the first time, popular place to lunch, brunch, and see famous people, Mauro's Café at Fred Segal on Melrose, is initiating dinner service. Dinner will be served Thursday nights only going forward. [EaterWire]

PASADENA— Dog Haus, the growing chainlet that tops its dogs and burgers with unorthodox ingredients, is holding a hot dog eating contest on July 6 at its 93 East Green Street location. Management is planning a full day party from noon to 4 p.m., although the contest doesn't begin until 3 p.m. and entry is $20. [EaterWire]

MEALS ON WHEELS—Fatburger is kicking off a cross country food truck tour to give away burger bites and the voyage begins in LA on June 29. Fatburger is going to hit these Walmart stores: Santa Clarita, Pomona, City of Industry, Pico Rivera, Lakewood, Cerritos, Norwalk and Paramount. [EaterWire]
