Status: Opened yesterday
As of yesterday at 6 p.m., Connie & Ted's, one of the most buzzed about restaurant opening of the year, is finally serving the public after a week and a half of friends and fam. Right now Providence chef Michael Cimarusti's contemporary interpretation of an old school seafood "shack" rooted in the classics (lobster rolls, chowders, oysters Rockefeller) is open for dinner only, from Tuesday through Sunday. But, around the third week of June, Cimarusti will drop lunch service like it's hot (and cold -- raw bar), and transition into daily service for both meals. This right here is the finalized dinner menu (inclusive of beverages), executed by Providence chef de cuisine Sam Baxter, with high quality seafood-friendly craft cocktails from Laura Lindsay. Though knowing Cimarusti's proclivity to seasonal ingredients and such, expect the menu to ebb and flow.
