Victor Drai, the nightlife impresario responsible for Vegas' Drai's Afterhours, XS and Tryst nightclub, as well as the W Hollywood's namesake rooftop club and restaurant, has suspended his culinary operations there as of this past Saturday. Chef Patrick Florendo's final foray at Drai's Hollywood was billed "The Last Supper," but it will not be the finale for him or Drai. Sources say that in an effort to attract more business, Drai has decided to move his restaurant to a Sunset Blvd locale by fall. Remember, Drai previously operated an eatery in the now Koi space on La Cienega in the 90s that was quite popular with the celebrity set.
Drai's Hollywood will continue to operate as a nightclub, meanwhile Drai is also opening a Las Vegas rooftop megaclub in the new Gansevoort Las Vegas this February. [EaterWire] — David Morris
