Gracias Madre, the Mexican-flavored vegan place from those behind Cafe Gratitude, has posted signage, taking over for Richard Shapiro Antiques on Melrose. If the local success of CG is any indication, compounded with Los Angeles' love for Mexican cuisine and healthy eating in general, the San Francisco-based restaurant concept is sure to be a West Hollywood hit, sprouting right across from Craig's and near the shuttered Smoke in a somewhat underserved WeHo dining nook. Right now the free-standing vine-covered building is totally gutted, on track to open this fall.
