Ramen Jinya Gonzo in OC; Freebie S'mores at Superba

New, 8 comments

OC— No more Ramen Jinya in Costa Mesa, either. As of last night. After aggressively expanding around LA, the chainlet has closed up nearly all of its SoCal outposts, save for the original Studio City haunt and a robata bar on W. Third. But, management still thinks NYC, Vegas and Seattle need ramen. [EaterWire]

VENICE— Happy first birthday to Paul Hibler and chef Jason Neroni's Superba Snack Bar on Rose. All guests who dine (lunch, brunch, and dinner) between Thursday and Sunday score s'mores in a jar on the house. [ELA]

MID-CITY— On July 21 BLD is holding another preview of ICDC, the Ice Cream Doughnuts and Coffee place from Amy Knoll Fraser and BLD pastry chef Mariah Swan. Come on down for scoops of Strawberry Black Pepper Cream Cheese, Buttermilk Chocolate Marble, and Cinnamon Marshmallow ice cream. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Short Order is running a food and drink discount through Sunday. Stop in for 79-cent Old School fries and a Farmers Market Smash cocktail for $7.90. [EaterWire]
