Just a little bit behind schedule, SBE today unveils an expanded Sayers Club, adding a new bar to the front portion of the nightlife venue in the area originally inhabited by Papaya King. Creative director Jason Scoppa is responsible for the reclaimed wood bar's design, where patrons can swing by Tuesday to Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. for tempura green beans with lemon aioli and crispy stuffed dates with Merguez sausage. Drinks here are the same as offered previously at Sayers, in addition to seasonal craft beers on draft. There's also a wood-burning pizza oven newly installed. In tandem with the front room launch, The Sayers Club, known for its live music performances, is also rolling out a new slate of early shows which commence at 8:30 p.m.
