MONTROSE— The original Fat Dog gastropub in Montrose is set to shutter, but don't forget owner Richard Mandeville is opening a new location in North Hollywood. Word on the street is that brothers Joe and David Friedman, who worked at the restaurant before it was even called The Fat Dog (previously Barru), have purchased the biz and will reopen as Basin 141. Expect more beers, full food, and specialty cocktails. [EaterWire]

VENICE— Also to celebrate its first birthday, on August 8 Superba Snack Bar is inviting in a bunch of notable chefs to cook a collaborative six course dinner. For $75 try plates from David LeFevre (MB Post), Vinny Dotolo (Animal), Kris Yenbamroong (NIGHT + MARKET), Craig Thorton (Wolvesmouth), and, of course, Superba chef Jason Neroni. Noah Ellis, Mr. Twitter blaster, is doing drinks. Best part, 100% of the profits go to the Westside Food Bank. [ELA]

BEVERLY HILLS— Modern Indian restaurant Tanzore on La Cienega is discounting its entire dinner menu by half through the end of this month. [EaterWire]

SAN DIEGO— Thanks to some 4Chan users, the owner of San Diego's Jersey Joe's Pizzeria now has the nickname "Jerkin' Joe." The pizzeria's unsecured webcam, located in the kitchen area, allegedly caught owner Giusepp "Joe" Scire masturbating in the back room, which Internet peeping toms screengrabbed and shared on 4Chan. Scire has publicly denied that the images are of him and/or his restaurant, telling the Huffington Post that he's possibly the victim of retaliation by two recently fired employees. [E]
