Just take a look at these shots here, here and here — that's what the ancient Papoo's Hot Dog Show looked like until Umami Burger moved in, open earlier this week on W. Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake. Gotta say, this one probably most closely resembles Umami Valli, bar seats look pretty similar, much tufted furniture, and yes, dripping chandeliers. Those framed dogs on the wall? Clearly a nod to the building's former and longtime life as Papoo's Hot DOG Show.

As mentioned on Tuesday, this location offers an Umami menu with a bunch of new hot dog creations. And, for the first time, Umami will also introduce brunch in August.
