HOLLYWOOD— Sadie, the restaurant which replaced Les Deux in its second iteration (remember the quick lived Les Deux Estate?) on N. Las Palmas, is still trying to find its footing and define its identity. After reopening a year and a half ago under the Sadie name, flacks for the restaurant today send word that management is revisiting the venue's nightclub roots. Sort of. A revamped menu by chef Jonathan Moulton is in place, but Sadie is also debuting a newly designed lounge/patio area and entertainment via DJs and live music sets. Per reps, "...Sadie is now set to bring a new dining and nightlife experience to the iconic Las Palmas location." Also, Sadie has a new mantra: "One Place. One Night. Many Experiences." [EaterWire]
MEALS ON WHEELS— Free prosciutto off the LudoTruck. Sound random? The Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma has partnered with Trois Mec chefs Ludo Lefebvre, Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook to create a three dish prosciutto menu sold off the LudoTruck on August 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Pershing Square (532 South Olive Street). All chefs will be on hand to serve their dishes. Ludo made a Prosciutto di Parma Parisian Sandwich, Vinny is doing a Crispy Prosciutto di Parma with Mozzarella, and Jon will plate a Prosciutto di Parma Chopped Salad. Later that night the truck will camp outside Bar Covell and partner Matt Kaner will also offer $10 wine pairings with the dishes. Each plate costs $5 but guests who stop by also snag prosciutto slices on the house. [ELA]
