HOLLYWOOD— That new Fat Sal's sandwich and burger place broke bread last week on N. Highland at Fountain. This is a rather gluttonous affair from partners Jerry Ferrara (that actor from Entourage), Josh Stone, and Sal Capek. Sandwiches come "extra wide" because they are stuffed with chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. For real. And then there's the aptly named Big Fat Fatty, which costs $49.95. If you eat the whole thing in under 40 minutes it's free and management will let you create your own sandwich on the menu. But that's highly unlikely because it's a messy 27-inch garlic hero filled with grilled ham, chicken fingers, jalapenos, onions, melted mozzarella, sliced avocado, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, fries, lime juice and mayo. HOLLYWOOD— Eric Hulme, executive chef of Tender Greens in Hollywood, has collaborated with El Segundo Brewing Co. on a limited batch cherry saison, Schot in Het Donker, which debuts on Saturday at El Segundo Brewing Co.'s tasting room and on Sunday at Tender Greens' monthly whole animal cookout. The beer will eventually be on draft at Tender Greens locations in LA, OC, and SD. [Daily Dish]
