Although opening chef/partner Perry Cheung is out of the picture (and planted at Phorage), Chinese eatery ROC Star on Sawtelle has moved into the adjacent unit previously inhabited by In Residence clothing boutique. Management broke down a wall to connect the two rooms and there's a new marble countertop bar behind which one can watch chefs press scallion pancakes, among other edibles. While the space isn't totally complete yet with regard to decor, management is already seating diner overflow in the expanded dining room. New menu items to come, too. [EaterWire]
