Village Tavern in Atwater Soft Open Since Last Week

New, 1 comment

The highly anticipated watering hole and pub, Village Tavern, started soft serving last week. Owner Maurice Rodriguez opened the friendly spot in order to give residents another good place to hang out late into the night. The craft beer menu has plenty of local favorites like Golden Road, Stone, Angel City, and Eagle Rock Brewery available on tap while bar food comes via Stop, Guac and Roll, with menu highlights like tacos, burritos, and tortas to go along with burgers, fries, and other handheld bites.

The first word comes from Eating LA, who likes the shareable food that's well-made though she says prices are a tad high. Interestingly enough, she says Silver Lake's dearth of a good craft beer spot will mean this place might fill in that gap. At the moment Village Tavern is open from Monday to Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to midnight, and 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the weekend. Eventually they'll open at 11:30 a.m. for lunch.
