Terroni Downtown has been almost a year in the making and the immense effort to transform this historic building has finally paid off. At the moment crews are putting in the final interior finishes, but Eater was able to drop by and snap a picture of the bar area. The entire dining room is bathed in gorgeous light, thanks to windows that reach to the ceiling, making this one of the most impressive spaces to open this year.
The seating and inside details at the moment look both retro and modern, with a massive chandelier near the entrance. There's a great wood paneling behind the bar that adds warmth. Toward the back, one can see the mezzanine level that's built out and might have some nice views of the room below. No word yet on the official opening, but at this point it's really hard to see an opening escape the summer for Terroni. This is the second L.A. outpost for the Italian restaurant, which also has locations in Toronto.
