9 Olives on Sunset Rebranding into Punk's Bar and Lounge

The website is down, phone disconnected. That's because 9 Olives at Chaplin House, the American restaurant from chef Kevin O'Connell, has ended its Sunset Boulevard run just shy of its first birthday. Right now 9 Olives, previously Libertine, displays papered over windows as O'Connell transforms the space into Punk's. The retooled bar and tapas lounge is described on Facebook as "A conceptual edgy spot for live international music, dope DJs, amazing art, f*#cking entertainment on Sunset Boulevard" and appears to have already been sporadically soft open. But, O'Connell plans to close doors and officially debut next month after "major renovations." [EaterWire]
