After last year's successful inaugural Fried Chicken Fest, the bonanza by FoodGPS returns, this time to Lot 613 in Downtown's Arts/Industrial District, with an even bigger band of name-brand chefs around town.

On September 15 from 4 to 7 p.m., see the likes of Susan Feniger (STREET), David LeFevre (Fishing with Dynamite), Daniel Mattern and Roxanna Jullapat (Cooks County), Jason Neroni (Superba Snack Bar), Bryant Ng (The Spice Table), Chris Oh (Seoul Sausage Co.), Matthew Poley (Heirloom LA), Eduardo Ruiz (Corazon y Miel), Ernesto Uchimura (Plan Check), and Ricardo Zarate (Paiche) cooking up their rendition of the best fried bird.

In addition to chicken, there's beer by Firestone Walker, ice cream from McConnell's, and pastries from Sugarbloom Bakery. General admin tickets, which can be purchased here, runs $55 a head when purchased in advance and $65 at the door. VIP tickets all for $100 at the door, or $90 in advance and includes early admission and a special cocktail created by Matthew Biancaniello. A portion of the proceeds will benefit My Friend's Place, a charity for homeless youth. [EaterWire]
