Rest Group Sues Lisa Vanderpump Over P.U.M.P. Lounge

New, 12 comments

Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd, the SUR and Villa Blanca restaurant-owning couple on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, are being sued by Ryan Allen Carrillo and Andrew Gruver (Lulu Restaurant Group) over a botched business deal. Radar Online published a copy of the court documents, which allege "breach of fiduciary duty," "fraud," "breach of contract," "deceit," and more against the reality couple and their landlord Elie Samaha.

In 2011 Carrillo and Gruver were planning to open a gay bar called Bar Varsity at 8948 Santa Monica Boulevard, and supposedly they had a deal in place with Samaha. However, after Samah neglected to invest $500,000 as promised, other partners backed out. And then came P.U.M.P. Lounge.

Carrillo and Gruver assert that Vanderpump knowingly foiled their deal. Thusly, they are seeking more than $4 million and are asking the court to stop the inception of P.U.M.P. Lounge.

But Vanderpump and Todd told Daily Mail, "We had no prior knowledge of Ryan Carrillo and Andrew Gruver or their claim. We took the lease in good faith seven months ago and all of our applications and notices have been posted publicly. Any issue will be between them and the property owner."
