Ramen "Alley" Festival Coming to Southbay Next Month

A ramen beast is invading Southbay September 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Organized by Weekly LALALA in celebration of the publication's tenth anniversary, the Ramen Yokocho festival promises to be the largest ramen festival in America. How big is big? So far, 12 vendors (including Jidaiya, Hayatemaru, Tsujita, Ikemen, and Daikokuya) have signed up. Out of the dozen, two are from the Bay Area, one — Kitakata Ramen — is from Japan, and Gomaichi will represent Hawaii. Each bowl of ramen is $8, entrance to the festival is free. This is probably the perfect time to run that second ramen marathon. [EaterWire]
