BEVERLY HILLS— It's official. Hakkasan is slated to open on September 19 for lunch at 12 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m. The work along the outside of the restaurant, known as "The Cage", is a signature element that will give diners a sense of privacy, a must-have in this part of town.

SHERMAN OAKS— Crème Caramel LA's brick & mortar also officially opens September 9. The urban bodega has an expanded menu with sandwiches, breakfast items, and bento boxes for lunch.

WEST LA— Bigfoot West is already turning four years old on August 29, and this time the party includes free tacos from 9 p.m. until close, as well as drink specials. [Eaterwire]

VENICE— Pork Belly's has a nifty time-lapse video of how the mural on the side of their building was painted. [Eaterwire]
