Have a look at Roadside Eats, the 2,000 square foot casual cafe from those behind Rush Street and City Tavern, nearly complete at the Arclight complex in Hollywood. Spirited by classic Southern roadside counters, chef/partner Dave Northrup is planning a slew of grilled numbers like slow cooked brisket and barbecue chicken, meanwhile City Tavern chef Jessica Christensen is in charge of "add-ons" (pimento cheese, tabasco aioli) and deli case salads (baby kale and roasted butternut squash).
With the onset of Roadside Eats, the forthcoming Blue C Sushi, and the newish Stella Barra, movie-goers have a solid list of better eats nearby.
