House Cafe, a decorated two star attraction for the last three plus years on Beverly Boulevard, shuttered around August 18. Restaurateur Bruce Marder was behind this New American/Italianish number, he's also the guy responsible for Capo, Cora's Coffee Shop, and Red Rooster Bakery in Santa Monica plus Brentwood Restaurant in Brentwood. Over at House, a voice recording confirms the restaurant's shutter and states that a new project called Marvin is "coming soon." Management didn't immediately return calls about the forthcoming eatery, but stay tuned for more. [EaterWire]
