LA's popular meat and dairy-free macrobiotic eatery M Cafe de Chaya, which presently runs operations on Melrose near La Brea and on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills, is looking west, hitting a prime San Vicente plot next door to Juice Crafters in Brentwood. Perhaps some good synergy to be found between the two heath-centered concepts. Right now M Cafe Brentwood is totally gutted and workers are in the process of building the restaurant's basic bones in place of SanSai Japanese Grill. It's not a terribly large expanse, definitely smaller than the shuttered Culver City branch. An employee says that management is looking to launch in October or November.
