Belcampo Meat Co., a Farm to Plate Meat Shop in LA

Belcampo Meat Co. is a nine-month-old butcher shop and eatery within the Marin Country Mart (like the Brentwood Country Mart) in Larkspur. It's a grass roots operation helmed by locavore pioneer Anya Fernald and partner Todd Robinson, and what's most noteworthy about Belcampo is that the meat it sells comes directly from its own certified organic farm in Mt. Shasta (some might recall that SaMo's new Pono Burger gets its meat from this region as well). Belcampo controls the entire process from raising its animals to slaughtering to processing to selling them. And guess what?! Belcampo is expanding to Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Palo Alto, and San Francisco by the end of this year. Specifically, management will launch a butcher shop and to go outfit in a TBA Los Angeles locale and right now they're looking to hire a head chef. Take a gander at the NorCal menu.
