Lady M Confections Open Today with 20 Layers of Cake

New, 24 comments

Lady M Confections is the glossy new white on white cake boutique launched this morning at 10 a.m. on W. Third Street just east of Robertson. Famous in New York for its Mille Crepes cake, a confection layered with cream and 20 to 22 individually made crepes, Lady M founder Ken Romaniszyn is aggressively expanding with two new location in Manhattan open within the last year or so, a franchise bakery in Singapore debuting within the next month, obviously this W. Third Street space, and likely another Lady M in Los Angeles, perhaps in Venice along Abbot Kinney.

What separates Lady M in Los Angeles from its New York counterparts is that all cakes here are baked onsite as compared to New York where desserts are prepared in a commissary and then distributed to Manhattan's three locations.

For the most part, the LA cake menu is the same as offered in NY, with cakes sold whole or by the slice for between $5.50 to $8.50. There's also a few baked goods like croissants and light sandwiches with brie and smoked salmon. As pictured above, Stumptown Coffee is on demand and pairs well with Lady M's signature and seasonally changing cakes. Check out the bakery's summer menu and note hours of operation run Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
