33 Taps, a slightly elevated neighborhood pub, is set to soft serve this coming Saturday. The restaurant and bar takes over the former Dillon's Irish Pub expanse (Dillon's moved down Hollywood Boulevard) with 40 HD TVs, an America menu, a full bar and, as its name suggests, 33 draft lines of beer. Do take note that this is NOT a gastropub, and therefore future patrons should not expect complicated plates or fancy drinks. However, 33 Taps is also not a dive bar, rather it falls somewhere in the middle of the two. Basically, management is going for a comfortable locals haunt with affordably priced, higher quality burgers, wings, house-made pretzels, fish & chips, and beers that cost between $4 and $6. Hours of operation are still being finalized but will likely run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. during the week and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends. [EaterWire]
