Fuel Up and Plug In at Andante Coffee Roasters' New Cafe

Andante Coffee Roasters, a new special coffee shop and roastery on Beverly Boulevard, opened quietly for locals last Friday in the former Buzz Coffee space. Founded by Steve Hyun, Tommy Kim (Coffee Tomo), and Jacob Park, the sparsely decorated cafe is a boon for those looking to escape the bustle of the Farmer Market's Single Origin or nearby King's Road Cafe. The trio is hoping to improve the overall ambiance in the coming weeks, as well as install a new roasting operation in the back once permits are secured. At the moment, Andante is roasting its own beans in Koreatown and brewing both espresso and pourover coffee, as well as offering homemade pastries inclusive of large croissants. Unlike other special coffee shops, one can expect expansive seating, plugs, and fast internet for laptop warriors. Current hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with late night service planned in the future.
