Local chains and independently owned restaurants are signing on to partake in a new healthy eating endeavor in conjunction with the county Department of Public Health. Eateries that offer downsized portions (in addition to regular sized meals), serve healthy kid options and provide water as a beverage are eligible to participate, with involvement displayed via a "Choose Health L.A." window sign. Thus far Poquito Más, Subway, Lido di Manhattan Ristorante, Deano's Gourmet Pizza, and Localita are playing ball. [LA County]
