New, 3 comments

SILVER LAKE— Check out the rehabilitated Tom's Burgers on W. Sunset Boulevard. Gone is that old signage and green roof, and in place comes a lick of bright white paint. Works onsite are still arranging the space which will supposedly next house a pizza place. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— Neighborhood wine bar Vintage Enoteca has a new chef onboard as of today. Marc Elliot, who will roll out a new fall menu over the next few weeks, joins the quaint abode by way of Tuning Fork gastropub in Studio City. [EaterWire]

STUDIO CITY— Chef CJ Jacobson over at Girasol added brunch to the Moorpark Street restaurant's roster last Saturday. Some dishes are made with ingredients foraged from the Angeles National Forest like steak and eggs with foraged pickled California walnuts and crispy Kennenbeck potatoes; chicken sausage with wild fennel, two eggs and shell beans; and Maine lobster eggs Benedict with sautéed wild spinach, poached eggs, lobster butter toast and lobster Hollandaise.
