Ricardo Diaz Opening Chorizo Amor in Silver Lake

The brick and mortar adjacent to the quick-serve El Siete Mares restaurant in Silver Lake has been taken over by Ricardo Diaz (Colonia Taco Lounge, Guisados) with a temporary concept purportedly named Chorizo Amor. That's according to the ABC notice posted to the building, which has been painted a chocolate brown. The interior dining room is being stripped to the drywall and redone while the outdoor patio has gotten some nice wooden seating areas. According to Diaz, who recently opened Colonia Taco Lounge in Whittier, Chorizo Amor will have a temporary menu and approach until a permanent one is determined. Opening date is tbd. Meanwhile, the remaining El Siete Mares shack continues operation.
