Kimukatsu, the modern Japanese tonkatsu restaurant that sells 25-layer breaded and deep fried pork cutlets in a variety of flavors, just recently opened its first California location in Culver City. Right now only a partial menu is on offer, and partner Bob Suzukawa says that once he acquires his beer and wine license in late October, the full roster of eats will roll out. Meanwhile, Kimukatsu on Sawtelle hit some snags and is about two to three weeks out. [EaterWire]
