With the likes of the Park's Finest BBQ nearby on Temple, it looks like the barbecue game in this part of Historic Filipinotown just got a little hotter with The Hungry Pig, an Asian-style joint touting baby back ribs, chicken sa-te [sic], brisket and beef curry. Launched last Monday by Eiddy Pennson, the Thai chef-owner is also cooking up menu items like papaya, jackfruit, and spicy eggplant salad plus cornbread and curried potato sides to go with the unique fusion grill. Prices are reasonable too, with only a few items hurdling ten dollars.

Early Yelpage is positive, with diners approving of the simply designed space as well as the warm service. At the moment, hours run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m, Monday through Saturday.
