With regard to last night's abrupt shutter at Bestia downtown, here's the word from wine guy Taylor Parsons who is helping out temporarily until Republique is ready to pour: "Just FYI we had a small fire in our grill ventilation system right before opening and had to shut down for the night. We will be back up and running tomorrow for regular service. No damage to speak of." Parsons sent over this note last night, which means service as usual today. [EaterWire]
