Recall those portraits on the wall in the back bar room at The Pikey on Sunset? They depict Sikh Gurus, and United Sikhs is threatening to boycott the restaurant and bar if the paintings are not removed. Says United Sikh's legal director Manmeet Singh, "In the teachings of Sikh religion, all intoxicants are banned. To put up pictures of Guru Gobind Singh, and other Sikh gurus, in an environment that promotes alcohol is utterly disrespectful." Pikey manager Noam Rubin claims the images will be removed once replacements arrive. [IndiaWest via WEHOville]
