Blue Daisy Cafe Signage, Tiki No Drinks Upgrade, More!

SANTA MONICA— Management behind Santa Monica's Blue Daisy Cafe on Wilshire is opening a second restaurant in place of Planet Raw on 6th and Broadway. Signage just went up and nearby residents can expect a menu similar to this with the addition of alcohol and dinner. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Jesse Gomez's second outpost of mod Mexican restaurant Mercado on W. 3rd Street is going to roll out brunch on October 6. Going forward, brunch will only be served on Sundays from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. [ELA]

NOHO— Fans of tiki drinks, take note. Damian Windsor and Jason Bran of The Roger Room have reworked the list of tropical libations at Tiki No, of course calling for the requisite fresh fruit and quality booze. LAmag lists some of the drinks which include Chief Lapu Lapu (rum, orange juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, passionfruit syrup), Zombie (rum, lime, red grapefruit juice), and a Coconut Mojito. Meanwhile, the team is also working on cocktails at The Warwick, more on that tomorrow. [LAmag]
